River Wissey at Hilborough
Wet meadows, mature woodland adjacent to ford across river with reed, wetland vegetation. NB Some land is restricted access (military training area) but viewable.
Species: Grey Wagtail, Common Buzzard, Grey Heron, Snipe, Kingfisher, Green and GS Woodpecker with Stone Curlew close by.
Access: From Home Lane, leave A1065 on difficult bend just north of Hilborough village at TF832011 and park near the ford at TF834009 - keep lane access free for farm vehicles.
