Hoe Rough
A 12 Ha SSSI managed by Norfolk Wildlife Trust. Wet, unimproved grassland, heath and a pond bordered by the R Whitewater in the Wensum valley. Species: Warblers and other Spring and Winter migrants, Owls, Otter, Great-crested Newt. Access: B1110 East Dereham - Guist road, left after 3km onto the B1146 Fakenham road. The reserve is 1km ahead on the right, before crossing the river.
